David has called on Wicklow County Council to carry out an internal investigation into its handling of two sports fund projects that has cost Bray €100,000 and lost the opportunity to provide much need sports facilities in the town.

The opening scenes played out in the Dail today, Monday 5th December 2012, have seen struggling families placed at the centre of a spray of cuts and slashes to public services and community supports. Those who will be most affected are families already finding it hard to get by with their incomes.

David has called on the Government to quickly fill the cabinet position left open following the resignation of Willie Penrose TD last month and to use the opportunity to promote one of Wicklow’s Government TDs.

David has vowed to defy a request from the Cathaoirleach of Bray Town Council to stay silent on the issue of the Dargle Flood Protection Scheme. In an unprecedented approach Cllr Ronan McManus emailed all Councillors today asking that until such time as the Office of Public Works confirm the status of funding for the scheme no further comments would be made to the media.

David has called on the Government to clarify once and for all its intentions on the Dargle Flood Protection Scheme and to quit teasing the residents of Little Bray over whether the project will start or not.
